Ukraine War: Attack on Belgorod retail Complex near Russian border

According to reports from Russian media, a tragic incident has occurred in the city of Belgorod, resulting in the loss of several lives.

Reports indicate that an additional 10 individuals have been injured in the attack, which occurred in close proximity to the Ukrainian border.

Footage shared on social media depicted a number of ambulances stationed outside a severely damaged shopping centre, its windows shattered.

According to Russian officials, air defence systems successfully intercepted and destroyed 14 missiles launched by Ukraine in the Belgorod region.

Belgorod is located approximately 30km (19 miles) away from the Ukrainian border.

Since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine nearly two years ago, it has frequently become the target of Ukrainian forces.

In December, a devastating attack took place in Belgorod, resulting in the loss of 25 lives and leaving 100 others injured. It was a tragic incident that had a profound impact on the community.
