Swedish police have safely disposed of a potentially hazardous item discovered near the Israeli embassy in Stockholm.
According to local reports, there was a significant incident that prompted a large-scale response. Authorities cordoned off a wide area around the embassy to ensure public safety.
Authorities informed the BBC that they were unable to provide additional information regarding the object. They reported that there were no injuries.
According to the Israeli ambassador to Sweden, there was an incident that targeted the embassy and its employees.
“We will not be intimidated by terror,” Ziv Nevo Kulman posted on X. He expressed gratitude to the Swedish authorities for their prompt response.
Officers received a call around 13:10 local time (12:10 GMT), as reported by broadcaster TV4.
According to TV4, the object was ultimately destroyed by bomb disposal experts, who reported a loud noise at the scene.
