Sydney stabbing: Critically Injured Infant girl Discharged from ICU

A baby girl injured in Saturday’s stabbing attack in a Sydney mall has been transferred from intensive care.

The health official reported that the nine-month-old daughter of Ashlee Good, who tragically passed away while protecting her, is currently in a serious but stable condition.

A young girl recently had surgery at Sydney Children’s Hospital to address chest and arm injuries.

Tragedy struck at Westfield Bondi Junction shopping mall, claiming the lives of six individuals, with five of them being women.

Joel Cauchi, 40, caused chaos and fear as he attacked multiple individuals with a sharp weapon, leading to panic in the crowded complex. He was later fatally shot by law enforcement.

Australia has been deeply shocked by the attack, as incidents of mass killings are infrequent in the country.

According to a statement from a spokesperson for New South Wales Health, there are currently six individuals, including a baby girl, who remain in the hospital following the attack. Among them, two women are in intensive care.

Several more individuals who were injured have already been released from the hospital.

The Health Minister of New South Wales, Ryan Park, stated that the girl’s condition has undergone a notable improvement, which is a positive development.

A GoFundMe campaign established in Ashlee Good’s name has accumulated almost A$500,000 ($323,000; £259,500) for the benefit of her daughter.

In the midst of the incident, a courageous Frenchman took action to confront the knifeman using a bollard. As a result of his bravery, he has received assurance that his visa will be extended.

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese expressed his support for Damien Guerot’s potential Australian citizenship.
