Sergio Conceicao Accuses Mikel Arteta of insulting his family after Champions League Match

Porto’s Sergio Conceicao claimed that Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta disrespected his family during the Champions League match.

Arsenal advanced to the quarter-finals following a 4-2 penalty-shootout win, with David Raya making two crucial saves.

Conceicao claimed that Arteta insulted his family in Spanish towards the bench during the press conference.

According to sources from Arsenal club, Arteta has refuted the accusations.

Following the end of the game, the two coaches engaged in a heated conversation on the field before being pulled apart.

Conceicao suggested that he should concentrate on coaching his team. The outcome was unfair. The team has earned their spot in the next round.

Prior to Conceicao’s remarks, Arteta was questioned about the altercation at the conclusion and responded with: “No comment.” Thank you so much.”

In Portugal, Porto emerged victorious with a 1-0 win. However, Leandro Trossard’s goal in the 41st minute at Emirates Stadium equalized the match, leading to extra time and penalties.

Raya’s two impressive saves secured Arsenal’s spot in the quarter-finals of the tournament after a 14-year absence. The draw for the next round will be held on Friday.

In 2020, Conceicao also claimed that Pep Guardiola was “unpleasant” and used “ugly words” during a loss to Manchester City in the Champions League.
