Samantha Davis, the founder of dwarfism charity Little People UK and wife of Harry Potter star Warwick Davis, has passed away at the age of 53.
In a heartfelt statement, the actor expressed his deep sorrow for the loss of his beloved person, who passed away on 24 March. He fondly remembered the warmth of her hugs and expressed how much he misses them.
“Her passing has had a significant impact on our family,” he added.
Mrs Davis had a notable acting career, even sharing the screen with her husband in the last installment of a popular film franchise in 2010. In this particular film, she took on the role of a goblin.
The couple, who resided near Peterborough, crossed paths on the set of the film Willow in 1988, and tied the knot three years later.
The Star Wars actor spoke highly of Sammy, referring to her as his closest ally and unwavering champion throughout his professional journey.
His wife has also appeared in the children’s series Through the Dragon’s Eye (1989).
In addition to her acting career, Samantha Davis and her husband established the charity Little People UK in 2012. The organisation aims to provide support to individuals with dwarfism and their families.
“She had a strong desire to assist others, without passing any judgement.” “She was always available for everyone and truly attentive,” the Tenable host said.
Davis mentioned that his wife had experienced a decline in mobility in recent years. However, she remained determined to maintain a high quality of life despite this challenge.
Disney, the network that aired the Willow series, expressed their condolences to the Davis family, acknowledging Samantha as a cherished member of the UK film and TV community. They offered their support during this challenging period.
