Chris Cuomo Says, “I Am Now Taking a Regular Dose,” Regarding Ivermectin After Criticising Its Use for COVID

Chris Cuomo’s position on Ivermectin as a COVID-19 therapeutic treatment has completely changed.

The CNN news anchor, who previously stated that anyone endorsing the medication should be “shamed,” now claims he is “taking a regular dose” to address his personal issues with the long-term ramifications of an infection.

Cuomo disclosed in January that he has “long COVID,” or the protracted aftereffects of an earlier infection. This week, NewsNation star Patrick Bet-David revealed on the PBD Podcast, a current affairs programme, that he is taking the antiviral to treat “brain fog” and an ongoing inflammatory response.

Cuomo remarked, “I’ll tell you something else that’s going to get you a lot of hits.” “I take Ivermectin on a regular basis. During COVID, ivermectin was a scary drug. That was incorrect. We received inaccurate information regarding Ivermectin. The actual query is, “Why?”

Ivermectin first surfaced as a fringe treatment during the COVID-19 peak in 2020 and 2021, but it was quickly criticised as a “horse dewormer”; one episode even made fun of podcaster Joe Rogan for declaring that he had found success using the antiviral medication. Ivermectin was initially used in the 1970s, mostly as an antiparasitic for animals, but in following decades, it was also widely used in people, especially as a treatment and prophylactic for malaria. It is thought to be extremely safe.

“Everyone is going to claim that Joe Rogan was correct.” Cuomo went on. “No, Joe Rogan was stating that, even though he was correct, it is not important. What counts is that everyone in the medical field was aware that ivermectin was safe to use. They were aware of it. They knew it, I’m sure of it. How am I aware of this? Because all I’m doing now is talking to these professionals, who were silent at the time because to COVID-19’s overwhelming impact.

Following Rogan’s revelation, Cuomo and fellow CNN host Don Lemon made fun of its use:

At the time, Lemon stated, “People who are getting, injecting, drugs for animals, and horse -.”

“And others are advising them to!” Cuomo chimed in at that point. “Who should Ivermectin be ashamed of—you know, you talk about cancel culture? A de-wormer, perhaps? Really? .. Shaming them is necessary. Brother, you have to call them out and shame them.

During the PBD podcast, Cuomo went way back and suggested that the fact that Ivermectin was already cheap and widely available did not make it profitable, which was part of the reason it was rejected so strongly.

Cuomo stated, “It’s inexpensive, it belongs to no one, and it has been used for a long time in a variety of applications as an antiviral and antimicrobial.” “During COVID, my doctor used it on her patients and her family, and it was effective for them.” Okay. They were misguided to act frightened over that. was unaware of that at the time. Recognise it right away, own it, and report it right away.
