Liverpool lost 3-2 to Toulouse in a thrilling Europa League Group E match on Thursday after an attempted equalizer was disallowed in the last minute of extra time.
After thirty-six minutes, the hosts took the lead thanks to a deflected goal from Aron Donnum, who intercepted a play in midfield and broke into the box. Thjis Dallinga doubled the lead in the fifty-eighth minute.
Cristian Casseres’ own goal gave Liverpool a one-goal lead in the 73rd minute, but three minutes later Frank Magri doubled the hosts’ lead with a close-range, deflected cross.
With a dribble into the area and a finish into the bottom corner, Diogo Jota gave the Premier League team hope.
Jarell Quansah scored in the seventh minute of stoppage time to give Liverpool hope for a draw, but the goal was disallowed by the VAR because Alexis Mac Allister had handballed earlier in the play.
