After having been a Chanel campaign star, catwalk model and collaborator in trainer design, Pharrell Williams has been asked by Karl Lagerfeld to create a capsule collection. After composing a song with Cara Delevingne to mark the Autumn/Winter 2015 collection, musician Williams can now add fashion designer to his list of occupations.
The news was revealed as Lagerfeld and Williams were taking part in a show in Bangkok. Williams was sat in the front row, alongside his wife and son, wearing a yellow hoodie with a sparkly Chanel logo. The design was acknowledged to be of his collection, part of a ready-to-wear and accessories edit of spring/summer 2019.
The specifics of the range, including size and pricing, have yet to be revealed but Chanel has confirmed the collection will debut exclusively on 29thMarch at it’s new Seoul flagship, moving onto select boutiques around the world from April 4th.
