Biography
KingKaz The SpiritMan is a UK based lyricist, singer and producer, whose style is predominately Hip-hop with an infusion of Afro-beat and Reggae. He was Born in Nigeria but relocated to the London, UK aged six.
Kingkaz was brought up in a musical family and was highly influenced by his father a very respected and famous Singer and Musician from Nigeria. Kingkaz would play Congas, shakers and other percussive instruments on stage alongside his father and band at big events.
From a very young age he was exposed to Hip Hop and fell in love with the art form. After completing secondary school, He and a couple friends formed the rap group 'Complex Minded Souljahs' (CMS) consisting of 9 members. Together they had relative success on the underground Hip-hop Scene in the UK with releases including ‘South London’s Finest’ mixtape series and an underground hit titled ‘L.O.N.D.O.N’ accompanied by video releases.
By 1996 Kingkaz became heavily involved in the open mic scene in the UK, With a long list of PA's under his belt, in and around London, brushing shoulders with notable UK artists.
Since 2008 Kingkaz has become a major fixture in the music scene, especially in the Afrobeats and Hip-Hop scene. Previous notable gigs include Nigeria 50th Independence @Trafalgar Square, London, Hammersmith Apollo, the Bernie Grant centre, Tottenham, London, indigo at the O2, london and many more.
With a rapidly growing popularity within the industry, He has established himself as a force to be reckoned both as an rapper, producer and CEO.
