After continuously hearing about the conspiracy theory suggesting that #GretaThunberg is related to the Rothschild banking family, we decided to conduct our own investigation and delve deeper into the matter.
However, much to our disappointment, the claims made by fact-checkers and reputable sources seemed to fall short in establishing any concrete link between Greta Thunberg and the Rothschild family.
It is worth noting that the Rothschilds, a prominent banking dynasty, have a historical context that is sometimes surrounded by speculation and rumour. Throughout their history, there have been accounts of the Rothschilds fathering children out of wedlock, with some being acknowledged and supported, while others have allegedly been shunned. This aspect of their family history may contribute to the difficulty faced by fact-checkers when attempting to ascertain any connection between Greta Thunberg and the #Rothschild lineage.
During our investigation, we did come across an observation that intrigued us. There appears to be a remarkable resemblance between Jacob Rothschild and Greta Thunberg’s grandfather, #OlofThunberg. This physical resemblance could be purely coincidental, as family resemblances are not uncommon, and it does not necessarily imply any familial relationship.
