The Sun quotes a Metropolitan Police spokeswoman as saying: “Police were called to a residential address on Chestnut Rise, SE18 at about 11:25hrs on Sunday, October 22, following reports of a man being found deceased.”
At the site, a 64-year-old man was declared deceased. His relatives have been notified. No formal identification has occurred.
The death is now being investigated and is being viewed as unexpected. No one has been arrested.
Earlier that day, Courtney posted a number of images while cheering on his beloved Charlton Athletic football team.
After it was discovered that the accusations against Courtney were false, the charges were withdrawn.
He had a small heart attack in 2017, but he pledged it wouldn’t be the end of him.
In the course of a violent and criminal existence, he also claimed to have been shot, stabbed, and had his nose bit off.
In a number of low-budget crime movies, such as Six Bend Trap and The Dead Sleep Easy, Courtney played a mobster.
He had been working on his ninth book and had only recently expressed his pride in his life.
