GLEEFUL Tube passengers are getting free travel after a technical glitch knocked out the Underground’s payment systems.

Passengers on the London Underground, buses, Overground services and the DLR are being allowed on board without paying after the Oyster card swipe systems failed.
Barriers were left open at Stratford and Bank stations on Saturday morning, while at Morden in south London staff were actively waving passengers through the open turnstiles.

The technical glitch meant hours of free travel. Transport for London (TfL) apologised for the hiccup but those riding the network without stumping up a penny were celebrating.

Zora Suleman, from London, said: "Second time the Oyster card readers haven't worked.
“Hope there's a day-long glitch. Free travel for all."
