Roman Polanski. Still considered a great filmmaker, Academy Award winning director, Polanski, is as famous for his classic films as he is his scandalous life. After molesting a 13-year-old girl, he left the U.S. and has since never returned. He still, however, continues to direct films starring major American actors.

Don Vito. In the early to mid-2000s, Don Vito was the uncle everyone loved laughing at. But that changed when it was discovered that Vito (his real name was Vincent Margera) molested two 12-year-old girls, only to receive probation as punishment. He died in 2015.

Lawrence Taylor. Once, Taylor was lauded for his role with the New York Giants, but his reputation has since been tarnished. According to Rant Lifestyle, when it was discovered that a prostitute he had sex with was underage, he was accused of child molestation. Ultimately, he was sentenced to probation for six years.

Scott Bairstow. If you’re wondering why you haven’t seen Bairstow on the small or silver screen since you were younger, it’s because his career ended after being accused of child molestation. According to Rant Lifestyle, he pleaded guilty to raping a 12-year-old girl. As it turns out, the girl was related to his ex-wife.

Jared Fogle. When you used to think of Subway, you thought of losing weight by way of mediocre sandwiches. Nowadays, when you think of Subway, you likely associate it with Jared, the child molester. After it was discovered that Fogle raped two 16-year-olds and stowed away a collection of “kiddie porn,” he pleaded guilty and is now serving 188 months in prison, according to Perez Hilton.

Woody Allen. Perhaps considered one of the more divisive rape scandals on this list, considering how revered he still is, Allen allegedly molested his 7-year-old adopted daughter. It changed a lot, unsurprisingly, including his relationship with former lover and frequent collaborator, Mia Farrow.

Victor Salva. While he’s most famous for his horror films “Jeepers Creepers” and “Jeepers Creepers 2,” writer/director Victor Salva indulged in a bit of real life horror when he molested one of the underage actors on one of his earliest films. According to Man’s Life, Salva engaged in oral sex on and from underage actor, Nathan Forrest Winters. His directorial career following, however, wasn’t exactly tarnished.

Gary Glitter. After raping three underage girls, Glitter (his real name is Paul Gadd), a British singer and songwriter, was eventually sentenced to 16 years in prison. According to BBC News, he didn’t seem very affected by the fact that he molested those girls, which made the judge’s decision for a maximum sentence particularly easy.

Pleasure P. Once nominated for a Grammy, Pleasure P (Marcus Cooper) was also accused of molesting a child. According to Vibe, the mother of the child has confirmed that no such molestation ever took place, but the accusations still stuck. Regardless of where that stands, his reputation has been tarnished.

Stephen Collins. You know him as the father of from “7th Heaven,” but according to TMZ, he wasn’t the patriarch you may have wished he was in real life. During a therapy session with his wife, he admitted to molesting a 12-year-old girl. As it turned out, his wife recorded the session, and the recording was eventually leaked.

Shane Sparks. In 2011, Sparks was accused of child molestation after allegedly performing sexual acts on children between the ages of 12 and 17. According to Rolling Out, he made a deal with the LA County Superior Court to free him from outstanding jail time by way of counseling and probation.

Andy Dick. Following public nudity and sexual assault (groping of an underage girl’s breast after tearing off her shirt), according to Rant Lifestyle, Andy Dick was as bizarre in real life as he was behind the scenes. Known for being aggressively lewd, but never prosecuted on account, Dick is a stereotype of his own strange personality, and his disgusting antics mirror that demeanor perfectly.
