Salah Abdeslam’s Lawyer Says: “My Client Has The Intelligence Of An Empty Ashtray And Has Never Read The Koran”.

#WeGotYourBack #WeGotItCovered #SkyNews #Paris #Molenbeek #TerrorAttacks #Update #SalahAbdeslam #Extradition #ComputerGames #Koran

Paris terror attacks suspect Salah Abdeslam has been branded “a moron” by his own lawyer.

Belgian brief Sven Mary delivered a scathing assessment of his client as Abdeslam was transferred from Belgium to France to face charges over the attacks that killed 130 people on 13 November last year.

Mr Mary told French newspaper Liberation: “He is a moron petty criminal from Molenbeek – more a follower than a leader.

“He has the intelligence of an empty ashtray. He is the perfect example of the GTA (Grand Theft Auto video game) generation who thinks he lives in a video game.”

The lawyer said that in meetings with his notorious client, Abdeslam had admitted never to have read the Koran.

Mr Mary said: “I asked him if he had read the Koran and he said he had read an interpretation of it on the internet.”

The French prosecutor’s office said Abdeslam arrived in the French capital at 7.05am (9.05am local time).

Authorities in Belgium confirmed the suspect had been handed over under a European arrest warrant issued on 19 March – the day after he was arrested in Brussels after four months on the run.

Abdeslam’s French lawyer Frank Berton described his client in a television interview as a young man who was ready to cooperate, but would do so at a later date once the case against him has been reviewed by his legal team.

French Justice Minister Jean-Jacques Urvoas said Abdeslam would be placed in isolation in a prison in the Paris region, watched by guards specially adapted “for people reputed to be dangerous”.

He did not name the prison where Abdeslam would be housed.

Abdeslam’s extradition came a day after CCTV footage emerged of his brother Brahim blowing himself up in the Comptoir Voltaire restaurant on the night of the suicide bomb and gun attacks.

Salah Abdeslam reportedly told Belgian investigators he was supposed to detonate a suicide belt at the Stade de France, where the attacks – claimed by Islamic State – began.

Later, gunmen armed with Kalashnikov assault rifles shot customers at Le Carillon bar and Petit Cambodge restaurant.

Attackers also opened fire in front of A La Bonne Biere restaurant in the 11th district, and outside La Belle Equipe.

At the Bataclan Concert Hall, several gunmen entered the venue and shot randomly at the crowd.

Salah Abdeslam was the only surviving suspect involved in the attacks – in which 350 people were injured.

BREAKING NEWS: Salah Abdeslam To Sue French Prosecutor For Breach Of Confidentiality

#WeGotYourBack #WeGotItCovered #BreakingNews #SkyNews #ParisAttacksUpdate #Belgium #Brussels #Paris #Prosecutor # FrancoisMolins #BreachOfConfidentiality

Paris attacks suspect Salah Abdeslam’s lawyer says he plans to take legal action against a French prosecutor for breach of confidentiality.

The Paris prosecutor told reporters that Abdeslam had admitted he wanted to blow himself up during the attacks on 13 November but then changed his mind.

The bombings and shootings, claimed by the so-called Islamic State (IS), left 130 people dead and dozens injured.

Abdeslam was arrested in Belgium last week after four months on the run.

The Belgian authorities have charged him with terrorism offences. He has decided to fight extradition to France, which could take up to three months.

Abdeslam’s Belgian lawyer, Sven Mary, says his client is co-operating with the authorities.

At a news conference in the French capital on Saturday, Paris prosecutor Francois Molins, referring to Abdeslam’s statement to Belgian police, said: “He wanted to blow himself up at the Stade de France and, I quote, backed out.”

He added that people should treat with caution initial statements by the 26-year-old French national.

Mr Mary said he would take legal action against Mr Molins for breaching the confidentiality of the investigation.

He told Belgian public broadcaster RTBF that Mr Molins’ comments at a news conference were “a violation… I cannot let it go unchallenged”.

Meanwhile, France is sending more troops to its borders after the arrest of Abdeslam.

Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said they would join more than 5,000 police mobilised since the attacks.

Interpol has urged increased border security saying suspects may seek to flee after the arrest on Friday.

Abdeslam is believed to have fled shortly after the November attacks, returning to the Molenbeek district of Brussels.

He is being held at a high-security jail in Belgium.

Investigators hope Abdeslam, who was shot in the leg during his arrest, will reveal more information about the IS network behind the Paris attacks, its financing and plans.

They believe he helped with logistics, including renting rooms and driving suicide bombers to the Stade de France.

The subject of a massive manhunt, Salah Abdeslam was arrested about 500m (1,600ft) from his home in Molenbeek. His brother, Brahim, was one of the Paris attackers who blew himself up.

Another man arrested at the same time as Salah Abdeslam on Friday, Monir Ahmed Alaaj, has also been charged with participation in terrorist murder and the activities of a terrorist group, the Belgian prosecutors say.

Friday’s raid also saw three members of a family detained.

They include Abid Aberkan, described as a friend of Abdeslam, who has been charged with participation in the activities of a terrorist organisation and harbouring criminals.

Another family member, identified as Djemila M, has been charged with harbouring criminals, but is not in custody, the prosecutor’s office says.

The raid came after Abdeslam’s fingerprints were found in a flat in another Brussels district, Forest, raided on Tuesday.

Footage showed Abdeslam being bundled into a police car on Friday after a volley of gunfire. Alaaj was also injured during the arrests.

Prosecutors said Alaaj had travelled with Abdeslam to Germany last October, where his fingerprints were taken during an identity check.

A false Syrian passport in Alaaj’s name and Belgian identity papers under an alias were found in a flat in Forest raided on Tuesday.

Along with the Stade de France, the Paris bombings and shootings targeted the Bataclan concert hall and bars and restaurants.

BREAKING NEWS: The Most Wanted Man In Europe, Salah Abdeslam Has Been Arrested In Brussels.

#WeGotYourBack #WeGotItCovered #BreakingNews SkyNews #ParisAttackSuspect #SalahAbdeslam #Arrested #Brussels #France

The most wanted fugitive from November’s Paris attacks has been “caught alive” after being involved in a Brussels shootout, say police.

Guns and grenades are fired as Brussels police are involved in a shootout with Europe’s most wanted man, Salah Abdeslam.

The Belgian asylum minister Theo Francken declared, “We got him”, referring to 26-year-old Salah Abdeslam, Europe’s most wanted man.

Abdeslam has been arrested, and reportedly injured, during a major police operation in the Molenbeek suburb, where at least 10 shots were heard.

White smoke was seen emerging from one of the buildings in the area, Sky’s Matt Rhodes said, reporting from  the scene.

“There is a lot of protection in the road now …They are locking off many of the sides exits and streets,” Rhodes said.

Explosions Seen In Brussels During Standoff

Television footage showed masked, black-clad security forces guarding a street.

Belgium’s La Libre newspaper said two people had been injured in the shootout.

Grenades were also used in the operation.

Other reports suggested at least one other suspect remained “holed up” in a building.

Standoff In Brussels Leads To Street Closures

A police helicopter was heard overhead and many fire engines were seen near to the location, in the street.

French president Francois Hollande and Belgian PM Charles Michel left a meeting of EU leaders in Brussels on migration amid the news.

The shootout comes after Belgian authorities said that fingerprints in a Brussels apartment raided earlier this week belonged to Abdeslam.

A man shot dead in that raid is believed to have been an accomplice of Abdeslam, Belgian prosecutors said on Friday.

Sky’s foreign affairs editor Sam Kiley said that Abdeslam could prove to be “a goldmine of intelligence”.

Back in November it was reported that Abdeslam had reportedly returned to Brussels with a suicide vest.

A police source had told The Sunday Times of fears “there is a walking bomb” in the Belgian capital.

The source said Abdeslam may have become “trapped and desperate” since fleeing the bloodshed which killed 130 people.

Outrage After Someone Taped This Racist Messages To The Window Of A Hair Shop In France

#WeGotYourBack #WeGotItCovered #BreakingNews #Buzzfeed #Paris #RacistMessageOnDoor #ColorfulBlackShop

“We thought that this no longer existed,” the manager of the shop told BuzzFeed News.

“”We do not want an AFRO shop here selling plastic hair,” the message said:

We do not want a future Château-Rouge or Château d’Eau neighborhood that has become a trashy neighborhood.

We want a shop that gives life to a neighborhood, a food store or a bar or a restaurant.

We do not want customers from social houses in this street where the price per square meter is €10,000.

Why is it always you Africans who ask for and get all subsidies or free things?
Another low rent by the city of Paris? For plastic hair

You’re there but you are not welcome.”

The Colorful Black shop is located on Poissonnière street. It recently moved down the street to a new location.

“I found the poster on Wednesday, January 20, when I was opening the shop,” Anne-Marie Mendy, the Colorful Black shop manager, told BuzzFeed News. “My first instinct was to pull off the poster and I saw that there was a second one, identical to it.”

According to Mendy, her business had never had any problems before.

“When I saw that, my husband went immediately to complain to the police and they took it very seriously,” Mendy said. “We have never had a problem until last Friday, the eve of the opening of the new shop, where my husband heard people in the street say: ‘They are going to invade us’, ‘it’s them again.’ This was already sad.”

Paris police did not respond to requests for comment.

“We thought it no longer existed in 2016. I thought it was over. I do not know if it’s purely racist, but it’s free ill-will and cowardice. There may also be jealousy because we are on the corner of the street.”

Anne-Marie Mendy stuck a poster saying “you are prohibited from putting up signs here or we will prosecute you” on the front window of her shop.

Contrary to what the racist posters suggested, Anne-Marie Mendy said she hasn’t had any subsidies from the banks or the government to finance her activity.

“I come from the suburbs, I have no shame. I am for work. I chose to create my business for a living. I pay a lot of taxes for that matter, perhaps more than those who stuck this message.”

The shop manager said she didn’t consider moving despite this incident.

“I will not move, for sure, and I will not change my name.

It’s not because we’re African we must live in Château-Rouge. My shop offers specific products to customers who need them.”
